Tamalena

She's saltry and given to glitz,
and noted for shaking her hips.
Mesmerizing, spellbinding, and beguiling,
we wonder which witch is which!

Tamalena has danced throughout her life for the love of giving joy to others. She has performed in the play "Dancer in Latin Scene " from Guys and Dolls. She has entered contests, winning 1st and 2nd place in Disco, performed at the Iowa State Fair in 1979 following the Pointer Sisters and in 1983 at a Merry-Go-Round retail store. She taught and choreographed dance routines for seven years in Kentucky, won Best in Presentation for a dance called "The Wedding Party, which featured her three children in 1996 at Demicon VII in Des Moines Iowa. She began her career in Middle Easter dance when she joined the Caravan of Joy International Dance Troupe in 1999.
